Australia has invested nearly A$1.6 trillion in the US, supporting jobs and economic growth in both countries. The United States is Australia's largest investment destination and largest source of foreign investment
Ms McKenna is currently Chair of Australia Post. She was previously Chief Executive Officer of Broadcasting at News Corp and has held senior public sector roles, including Chair of the National Broadband Network Company and Commissioner of the Productivity Commission.
I thank Heather Ridout AO for her outstanding service as Consul-General in New York since February 2023.
Ms McKenna will take up her appointment in early 2027.
