The Australian Government has released the 2014-2015 report on the performance of Australia's aid program.

The Report confirms that Australia's aid program is performing efficiently and effectively in promoting prosperity, enhancing stability and reducing poverty in our region, the Indo-Pacific.

The Australian Government has made significant progress towards achieving the 10 strategic targets outlined in the Performance Framework. These targets include combatting corruption, engaging the private sector, working with the most effective partners, focussing on our region and increasing aid-for-trade.

Addressing gender inequality has been a priority of the Australian Government and significant improvements have been achieved through our aid program in 2014-15. A new Gender Equality Fund and a revised strategic direction will increase progress towards meeting our gender equality target and empowering women and girls.

The Performance Framework has strengthened how the Government measures the outcomes of Australia's aid program. They include more detailed information on the performance of all significant aid investments and of Australia's main aid delivery partners.

The establishment of the innovationXchange in March 2015 will drive innovation within our aid program to ensure more creative and effective solutions to development challenges.
