SENATOR EVANS ATTENDS WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM'S EUROPE-EAST ASIA SUMMIT IN SINGAPORE

The two-day meeting brings together a distinguished group of government and business leaders from the two regions, including President Soeharto of Indonesia, the Prime Minister of Singapore, Goh Chok Tong, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Hong-Koo Lee, the Vice-President of the EU, Sir Leon Brittan and the Prime Minister of Norway, Gro Harlem Bruntland.

Senator Evans will address the Forum on Friday on the subject of APEC: A Blueprint for Asia's Long Term Growth.

Senator Evans will return to Australia on 23 September.
